Halcyon Days — Image Model Print Study

Digital images produced by an image model learning in-context from original print work. The title references Harriot Augusta Freeman's Astræa's Return (1797) — in myth, Astraea flees Earth when humanity loses its way and returns when the Golden Age arrives.

Freeman imagined a utopia in 1797. I wanted to picture the same thing — what does that golden age look like? Imagined prints from her vision, as if they were etched then and we're only finding them now. Made at the height of AI anxiety, with the same tools people fear, deliberately unpolished.
