Monoprint Series 2 (Wandering)

This series marks the first experiments with color and different washi papers. The work freely mixes techniques from Western paper marbling and Suminagashi—throwing stones, combing, and raking; blowing and stylus manipulation; and more experimental methods like dragging paper through the bath and using alcohol as a dispersant. These six were selected from a larger body to represent the most diverse examples. The approach continues to push established practices by doing things wrong on purpose, embracing spontaneity and errors.
